It faces, in the north, with the river Coura (left bank), being Vilar de Mouros (place of Marinhas) and the Parish of Seixas (place of Coura), on the other bank. To the south, it borders the parish of Azevedo and Gondar. The East, sets limits with the Parish of Argela and Dem, The West, limits with the Parish of Vilarelho, Cristelo and Moledo.

Of its heritage, the highlight goes to the beautiful sculptured Baroque-style Cruzade de Venade.

Venade is also very popular, both for the architectural heritage surrounding the churchyard where the bandstand is located, the Parish Church and the Parish Council, or for the beautiful views of the viewpoint of Fojo, and other high points of this land.

Watercourses such as the Coura River and the Tinto River are aggregators of tourist and leisure values.

There are many parties that fill the streets of Caminha: the parties in honor of Santa Rita de Cassia, Our Lady of Bonanza, St. Benedict, the Feast of Flounders and the Pilgrimage of St. John D ‘Arga. The latter, is known to be the most genuine feast of the Alto Minho, where traditions, customs and undoubtedly fun. Also the Medieval Fair represents a tourist attraction, in which the streets are full of foreigners and lively music (in July).
